This week:

Dec 20, 2023 to Jan 8, 2024 NO TRAINING
- Holiday break, the unit will be on stand down during this time. No cadet activities are sanctioned during this time, including wearing of uniforms. Staff will not be in the office and replies to phone calls and emails will be for emergency issues only.
- OGS Ground School cadets please ensure you are completing your course materials and check your Cadet365 emails for a letter from Capt Lynch.

Calling all Artists!! – Logo Design Contest
Over Christmas break we are asking cadets who are interested to create a logo they feel represents the 577 squadron. Designs can be brought in on January 9^th, the first meeting back, or they can be emailed to 577parentassociation@gmail.com
Please keep the design simple and not too complicated to avoid delays as the designs do need to be transferred into the proper format for application. No crest/crown allowed.

All entries received by January 9 will be voted on over a two week period and the design with the most votes will be chosen to represent 577!

Dec 20 – Jan 8 Winter Stand Down – NO TRAINING ACTIVITIES
Feb 3-4, 2024 – Stage III Provincial Biathlon Competition – Selected Biathlon cadets
Mar 16, 2024 – Squadron Drill Day, all cadets
Mar 29-Apr 7, 2024 – Spring Break, NO Training

Air Cadet League of Alberta Cash Calendars are available again this year for fundraising. Calendars will be available for pick-up at the beginning and end of Tuesday night training.
Every first Tuesday of the month is a Parent/ SSC Board Meeting @ 630pm at the Armouries. Thank you to all the parents that attended this week! Next meeting Jan 9, 2024

Parents you are highly encouraged to come into the armouries during closing announcements/parade. That way you can hear all the information directly! We normally start them around 915pm.
