📣 GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Unfortunately, due to mechanical issues Gliding is cancelled for the remainder of the season. It will resume in the spring. Upcoming Power familiarization flights will hopefully be coming shortly and go into the winter.
  • Cash Calendar sales have begun! The Air Cadet League of Alberta produces an annual calendar featuring photos of cadets from across the province. The calendars serve as a fundraising initiative, with proceeds helping support local air cadet squadrons and their activities. Talk to the SSC on Tuesdays to get some calendars!!

  • 📝 Annual Validation Forms

    • Returning cadets must turn in their annual validation paperwork right away to jump into training.

    • Important: Detailed Health Questionnaires (DHQs) need to be approved before taking part in activities outside our regular Tuesday nights.

🎯 UPCOMING EVENTS

  • Ground School
    • Cadets signed up for Ground School who do not have access to Cadet 365/ Teams talk to Lt Trepanier for access. Those with access keep an eye out in your teams AND email/Microsoft calendar for invites to the program
  • First Aid Training
    • Cadets in Level 3 or higher can apply for a position in a Standard First Aid (Canadian Red Cross) happening at DCoy Armouries 14-15 Nov. This is being coordinated directly by our RCSU and has limited spots available. Cadets will receive the qualification upon successful completion of the course and will be eligible to wear the Standard First aid badge on their uniform.   • 🗓️ Tuesday, Oct 6, 2026 — Wings Parade and Meet & Greet

    • Wings parade is a ceremonial parade filled with awards, promotions and other presentations. Immediate families are welcome to attend, space will be limited. Following the parade there will be refreshments and appetizers for a meet and greet for parents and staff to have a chance to mingle and be introduced to the unit.

URGENT FTX LOCATION UPDATE Announcements: Week of Sept 22, 2026 (Updated Sept 24 @ 645pm)

URGENT UPDATE: FTX Location Change & Transportation

Please be advised that the location for this weekend’s Field Training Exercise (FTX) has been changed to Pineridge Adventure Camp.

Transportation & Logistics:

  • Transportation: Due to the venue change, organized transportation is no longer available. Parental drop-off and pick-up are required.

  • Directions: DCoy to Pineridge Camp (Directions provided from the D’Coy Armouries for ease of navigation)

Updated Schedule (at Pineridge Camp):

  • Drop-off: Saturday, the 26th @ 08:00 hrs

  • Pick-up: Sunday, the 27th @ 16:00 hrs

Note: All other details—including meals, scheduling, and the required kit list—remain unchanged.
