URGENT FTX LOCATION UPDATE Announcements: Week of Sept 22, 2026 (Updated Sept 24 @ 645pm)

URGENT UPDATE: FTX Location Change & Transportation

Please be advised that the location for this weekend’s Field Training Exercise (FTX) has been changed to Pineridge Adventure Camp.

Transportation & Logistics:

  • Transportation: Due to the venue change, organized transportation is no longer available. Parental drop-off and pick-up are required.

  • Directions: DCoy to Pineridge Camp (Directions provided from the D’Coy Armouries for ease of navigation)

Updated Schedule (at Pineridge Camp):

  • Drop-off: Saturday, the 26th @ 08:00 hrs

  • Pick-up: Sunday, the 27th @ 16:00 hrs

Note: All other details—including meals, scheduling, and the required kit list—remain unchanged.

  • Senior’s cadets that applied for leadership appointments, please submit your Resume and Cover Letters to Lt Trepanier either in person or via Teams no later than Sept 29th.

  • 📝 Annual Validation Forms

    • Returning cadets must turn in their annual validation paperwork right away to jump into training.

    • Important: Detailed Health Questionnaires (DHQs) need to be approved before taking part in activities outside our regular Tuesday nights.

  • 🤝 Parent & SSC Board Meetings: Held on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM.

  • 📍 Next Meeting: Oct 13th starting at 6:30pm— Swanavon School (right across the road from the armouries). ALL PARENTS WELCOME!

  • Cash Calendar sales have begun. The Air Cadet League of Alberta produces an annual calendar featuring photos of cadets from across the province. The calendars serve as a fundraising initiative, with proceeds helping support local air cadet squadrons and their activities.

    • Beginning October 1st, sign-up sheet is in the armouries. Open to all new and returning cadets! Thursdays from 18:30 to 21:00 (6:30 PM – 9:00 PM).

    • Beginning October 4th, sign-up sheet is in the armouries. Open to all new and returning cadets! Sundays with timings to be confirmed.
