• 🗓️ Sunday, Oct 4, 2026 – Gliding Familiarization Flights

• • Who: For those cadets who received flight confirmations and Joining instructions via email only

  • 🕛 Time: 0900 to 1545hrs

  • 👔 Dress Code: Comfortable civilian attire for new cadets, C5 (FTU) for cadets with uniforms. Dress for the weather.

• 🗓️ Sunday, Oct 4, 2026 — Band Rehearsal

  • Who: Open to all Cadets

  • 📍 Location: D-Coy Armouries

  • 🕛 Time: 1800 to 2000hrs

  • 👔 Dress Code: Comfortable civilian attire

• 🗓️ Tuesday, Oct 6, 2026 — Wings Parade and Meet & Greet

  • Wings parade is a ceremonial parade filled with awards, promotions and other presentations. Immediate families are welcome to attend, space will be limited. Following the parade there will be refreshments and appetizers for a meet and greet for parents and staff to have a chance to mingle and be introduced to the unit.

  • 👔 Dress Code: Returning cadets wear C1As (Orders of Dress Reference Guide). New cadets are asked FTUs (Green uniform if issued) or wear business casual civilian clothes if no uniforms were issued.

    

📣 GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

• Senior’s cadets that applied for leadership appointments, please submit your Resume and Cover Letters to Lt Trepanier either in person or via Teams no later than Sept 29th.

• 📝 Annual Validation Forms

  • Returning cadets must turn in their annual validation paperwork right away to jump into training.

  • Important: Detailed Health Questionnaires (DHQs) need to be approved before taking part in activities outside our regular Tuesday nights.

• Ground School

🏛️ SQUADRON SPONSORING COMMITTEE (SSC)

• 🤝 Parent & SSC Board Meetings: Held on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM.

• 📍 Next Meeting: Oct 13th starting at 6:30pm— Swanavon School (right across the road from the armouries). ALL PARENTS WELCOME!

• Cash Calendar sales have begun. The Air Cadet League of Alberta produces an annual calendar featuring photos of cadets from across the province. The calendars serve as a fundraising initiative, with proceeds helping support local air cadet squadrons and their activities.

• 📱 Reporting Absences: Please text/SMS all attendance updates directly to the admin line at 780-538-3610 (Ext 0). Note that emails and training-line messages cannot be processed for attendance.

• 📣 Parent Closing Announcements: We invite parents to come inside around 9:10 PM for final parade announcements so you can get all key updates firsthand!
