Announcements: Week of Sept 13, 2022
This week:
- Monday Sept 19, 2022 — Royal Canadian Legion commemorative service for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Open to second year cadets and above who have appropriate dress uniforms. Cadets are to meet at 1000hrs at the Royal Canadian Legion (9912 101 Ave Grande Prairie). Dress is C1 uniform (Orders of Dress Reference). Finish time should be around 1200hrs. - Tuesday Sept 20, 2022 — NO Training this evening, see Thursday for what training will be this week
- Thursday Sept 22, 2022 — Rotary Food Bank Drive (in lieu of our regular Tuesday training). All cadets are encouraged to attend. Cadets are to arrive at the old ATCO building at 9717 97 Ave at 1700hrs (5pm). Dress will be C5 for returning cadets or squadron t-shirt and hoodie for cadets without a uniform yet. Upcoming events:
- October 1-2, 2022 — Our first Field Training Exercise (FTX), more information to come
- October 4, 2022 — Meet and Greet Potluck Supper, open to all immediate families of cadets ot come and meet other parents, cadets, and the staff
- October 18, 2022 — Annual Wings Parade
- As well please keep an eye out for our extra-curricular (OPTIONAL) activities as signups and times for these will becoming in the coming weeks
Welcome to all our new cadets and families!! If at all throughout the year you have questions reach out your senior cadets or staff. Information about events, dates, and activities is always posted to our website 577aircadets.ca and Microsoft Teams (new cadets will get access in the coming days). Please check these places first for information before asking questions, they will likely answer them for you and eases the number of questions are staff handle (We do all work full time jobs outside of cadets).
