    • Drill Team – 1300-1500hrs at D-Coy Armouries
    • Band Rehearsal – 1500-1700hrs at D-Coy Armouries
  • Tuesday Apr 4, 2023 – CO’s Parade/Regular Training – 1830-2130hrs at D-Coy Armouries. Dress will be C1. Orders of Dress Reference

UPCOMING DATES:

  • Apr 6 – 17 Spring Break – Standdown – NO TRAINING
  • Apr 22 Inter-Squad Day – All Cadets
  • May 19-22 Spring Field Training Exercise – ALL CADETS (This is May long weekend)
  • June 10th ACR (Annual Cadet Review – FINAL Parade of the year – Mandatory for all cadets)

SQUADRON SPONSORING COMMITTEE:

  • Purdys Chocolate Fundraiser is officially open! Just in time for Easter. The goal is to have every thing back and ready for pickup April 4th https://fundraising.purdys.com/1709551-104487 
  • Every first Tuesday of the month is a Parent/ SSC Board Meeting @ 630pm at the Armouries.
  • June 6, 2023 is the Annual General Meeting held at the D-Coy from 630-730pm, all parents are welcome and encouraged to attend as many large decision will be made and gives you a more detailed look at how the SSC provides many opportunities to our cadets.

 

GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  • Parents you are highly encouraged to come into the armouries during closing announcements/parade. That way you can hear all the information directly! we normally start them around 915pm
  • Summer Training Applications
  • TECH TALKS – online episodes to interact with CAF members from across the country and from different profession in the military. Cadets can login using their Cadet365 accounts and attend the interactive online presentations to introduce cadets to various trades. See calendar attached for a schedule of talks and the join links TECHTALKS (MUST BE ON YOUR CADET365 ACCOUNTS)

    • Senior Cadet Development Day – 0900hrs-1600hrs at D-Coy Armouries. Lunch will be provided.
    • Music Level Testing (Virtual) – Band cadets you will receive your instructions from CI Elliott.
    • NO Band or Drill due to the Senior Cadet Development Day.
  • Monday Mar 27, 2023 
    • Marksmanship team – 1800-2000hrs at D-Coy Armouries

    • Air Skills Day 0900-1600hrs at D-Coy Armouries, dress will be FTU’s. Lunch is provided. This is a fun aviation themed activity day as a part of mandatory cadet training, all cadets are to attend. If you cannot attend please ensure you call or text the Squadron to excuse your absence.
  • Sunday Mar 19, 2023
    • NO Band or Drill due to the Armouries being booked.

  • Thursday Mar 9, 2023 –
    • Survivair – 1900-2130hrs at D-Coy Armouries – For all cadets to attend a dance if desired. Cadets selected to go to the mess dinner contact WO2 Buller if you forgot details. 
  • Friday Mar 10, 2023
    • Biathlon workshop cadets. Please be ready to go at the armouries for 1530hrs, with all needed kit for the weekend. Departure at 1600hrs
  • Sunday Mar 12, 2023
    • Drill Team – 1300-1500hrs at D-Coy Armouries – Civilian Attire
    • Band Rehearsal – 1500-1700hrs at D-Coy Armouries – Civilian Attire
  • Monday Mar 13, 2023 – NO marksmanship
  • Tuesday Mar 14, 2023 – Regular Training – 1830-2130hrs at D-Coy Armouries. Dress will be FTU. FTU Order of Dress (Level 1 cadets please bring running shoes and water bottles with you as well)
  • Saturday Mar 18, 2023 – Air Skills Day – ALL cadets at D-Coy Armouries (timings likely to be 0800-1600hrs) Lunch provided.
