Announcements: Week of April 12, 2022

This Week:

  • Thursday Apr 14 Survivair – 1830-2030hrs D-Coy Armouries 
  • Tuesday Apr 21 Regular Training – 1830-2130hrs D-Coy armouries, dress for the evening will be cadets FTU’s
  • NO Band or Drill this week for Easter.

General Announcements:

  • April 23 we have a Marksmanship Day, this is a squadron wide training event for cadets to learn and experience how to shoot an air rifle. More details and timings will be announced next week
  • April 21st There is a parent association meeting at 1930hrs at the Royal Canadian Legion. ALL parents are invited and encouraged to attend as you play a vital role in the squadrons success. 
  • There is a new policy surrounding vaccination requirements for cadets attending overnight training (IE Summer Training courses). Detailed information as well as the General Order itself can be found here https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/services/cadets-junior-canadian-rangers/cjcr-policy/cancdtgens/2022/cancdtgen005-22.html . If this will affect anyones CTC application please talk to the training staff. 

Announcements: Week of Apr 5, 2022

This Week:

  • Thursday Apr 7 – Survivair 1900-2100hrs – D-Coy Armouries. Those interested in Survivair are welcome to attend 
  • Sunday Apr 10 – Drill Team 1300-1500hrs – D-Coy Armouries. 
  • Sunday Apr 10 – Band Rehearsal 1500-1700hrs – D-Coy Armouries. Everyone is welcome to join, even if you don’t play an instrument.
  • Tuesday Apr 12 – Regular Training Night 1830-2130hrs – D-Coy Armouries. Dress for the evening is FTUs, if you don’t have FTUs yet wear the squadron blue t-shirt and black pants. 

General Announcements:

  • There is a squadron wide Marksmanship day coming up on Apr 23, 2022. Please save the date if you would like to attend, timings for the day and what to wear/bring will be announced closer to the date.
  • Summer Training – Summer training opportunities are back for summer 2022. Returning cadets can apply through the following form **(Summer Training Sign-Up)** Level 1 and Level 2 (1st/2nd year cadets) cadets can now submit an application as well.
    • Summer Training Applications are due by *April 10, 2022 *

    • Drill Team (Starts Apr 3, 2022) – Sundays 1300-1500hrs  D-coy Armouries, sign-up form here **SIGN-UP**
    • Band (Starts Apr 3, 2022) – Sundays 1500-1700hrs  D-Coy Armouries, sign-up form here **SIGN-UP**

    • Senior Cadets wishing to staff for summer training please let Lt Nasedkin know by next Tuesday of your interest.

  • Tuesday Apr 5, 2022: Fitness night 1830-2130hrs D-coy Armouries. Cadets are asked to wear appropriate fitness attire (including footwear) and bring a water bottle with their name on it.

Summer Training

Summer training opportunities are back for summer 2022. Returning cadets can apply through the following form **(Summer Training Sign-Up)**

We ask Level 1 and Level 2 (1st/2nd year cadets) cadets to wait to submit an application until after next Tuesday where there will be a discussion on what summer training is and what’s available to you.
